BlackBerry Initiates New Cybersecurity Service to Defend People, Privacy and Assets

The Canadian multinational company focusing in enterprise software and Internet of things (IoT), BB  announced new cybersecurity consulting services dedicated at allowing enterprise GDPR compliance and lessening security risks in connected automobiles that threaten personal and public safety.

General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is set to go into effect in May 2018. GDPR demands major changes to the ways companies collect, use and store Personally Identifiable Information (PII) about customers and employees of European Residents.

BlackBerry Cybersecurity Consulting will direct organizations to understand how to manage company data, how GDPR applies to the corporation and how to accomplish a competitive eagerness attitude.

Article 37 of the GDPR demands companies to have a devoted Data Protection Officer (DPO) to supervise the company’s data protection strategy.

The International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) estimates over 27,000 DPOs will be desired to administer all the company’s data protection strategy.

BB  has delivered cybersecurity solutions to clients in government and banking for over 30 years. With the addition of these new services, this could result in better relationships with those partner companies and could bring in new customers.
