KB Home KBH , one of the largest homebuilders in the United States, announced the grand opening of Caraway and Sorrel at Terramor, the builder’s latest new home neighborhoods in Temescal Valley, and the grand opening of Mariposa at Springville, the builder’s latest new home community in Camarillo.

The Terramor master plan’s convenient location allows for easy commuting throughout Riverside, San Bernardino, and Orange Counties, including the cities of Corona, Riverside, Lake Elsinore and Temecula, via Interstate 15 and Highway 91.

Residents of Caraway and Sorrel at Terramor will have access to exclusive community amenities, including The Veranda, a social center featuring an outdoor pool with sundecks, a toddler pool, and an outdoor barbecue.

Caraway and Sorrel at Terramor’s idyllic location in the foothills of the Santa Ana Mountains provides a wealth of outdoor recreational opportunities.

Surrounded by over 540 acres of natural reserve, Caraway and Sorrel at Terramor are a short drive away from Cleveland National Forest and Lake Mathews-Estelle Mountain Reserve.

The grand opening of Caraway and Sorrel at Terramor will take place on Saturday, November 18 at 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Pricing for both communities starts in the low-$500,000s.

In addition, KBH  announced the grand opening of Mariposa at Springville, a new home community in Camarillo, CA.

Mariposa at Springville’s proximity to US Route 101, Highway 34, and Pacific Coast Highway allows for easy commuting throughout Los Angeles and Ventura Counties. The community is also close to California State University Channel Islands and other major employers and employment centers, including Amgen and the Naval Base Ventura County.

Residents of Mariposa at Springville can enjoy an active southern California lifestyle all year long. The 60 miles of hiking trails at nearby Point Mugu State Park are perfect for exploring the Santa Monica Mountains, and Point Dume, with its vast beach area, cliffs, and rocky coves, is noted for swimming, scuba diving, and whale watching in the late winter and spring months.

KB Home plans on constructing 130 new homes at Mariposa at Springville, where homebuyers can choose from four two- and three-story townhome floorplans. Pricing begins in the mid-$500,000s.

The grand opening of Caraway and Sorrel at Terramor will take place on Saturday, November 18 at 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

These grand openings come on the heels of news that KB Home, the first RESNET Energy Smart Builder, is joining RESNET to mark important milestones for the energy-efficient homebuilding.

RESNET (The Residential Energy Services Network) is the independent, national nonprofit organization that homeowners trust to improve home energy efficiency and realize substantial savings on their utility bills.

KBH  recently delivered its 25,000th home in Denver and RESNET reached more than two million HERS Index-rated homes nationwide.

The lower the HERS Index Score, the better the home’s energy efficiency. For example, on average, a homeowner living in a KB home located in the Denver area with an HERS Index Score of 59 can potentially save up to $1,400 annually in energy utility costs, compared to typical resale homes in the area.

“Like RESNET, we believe providing information about estimated monthly energy utility costs empowers our homebuyers in deciding to purchase a home, and has fundamentally changed the way consumers shop for a home today,” said Jeffrey Mezger, chairman, president and chief executive officer of KB Home.

“Through the HERS Index Score and KB Home’s Energy Performance Guide (EPG), homebuyers can better understand the potential benefits of living in a highly energy-efficient KB home,” Mezger continued.

RESNET’s development of the HERS rating system and KB Home’s innovative EPG represent key sustainability advancements that in the last decade have helped consumers gain a better appreciation of energy efficiency in the home.
